see ya, 23.

Today is my last day of being 23. It's been a good year. An interesting year. Lots of change, a few downs, but mostly filled with ups.

i. love. birthdays. here's the part i love about birthdays. The number changes, but you just get better. You're a whole year older, wiser, more experienced. You get to look forward to the next year being the same, and ending up on the other side one year older, wiser and more experienced. every birthday is a celebration of the person you were, the person you are today and a toast to the person you are to become.

So, here's to 24. i hope you are equally as thrilling and as full of blessings as the last 23 years have been.

cholula makes everything better.

I love cholula. and chipotle. and gchatting with my roomies all day during work. what would i do without them? i wouldn't be solving the world's problems - that's for sure. :)

Kristina: How was chipotle? i had a lean cuisine..it was gross
me: im sorry, what kind?
Kristina: its ok, not your fault - fiesta chicken or something like that
me: oh yeah that one isnt that good haha
needs lots of salt
and tony's
or cholula
Kristina: yes cholula would have made it much better - it was a little dry
me: cholula makes everything better
Kristina: yes, in terms of food - too bad it doesnt apply to life situations
me: hahaha it might, we should try it
Kristina: yeah it could - like the kickball team last night - that guy that yelled at bec, i should have poured cholula on him
me: hahaha totally wouldve solved the problem
Kristina: exactly.

step by step, day by day!

“The best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time”
- Abraham Lincoln

i found this quote today while trying to pass the never ending 4 o'clock hour at work (thank GOD for StumbleUpon!). i just really, really love it! it reiterates that life has to be lived one day at a time. sometimes thinking too far into the future can be scary - where will i be in 5 years? 10 years? but what's so scary about just 24 hours? nothing.

bring it on wednesday!

Surrender

"Sometimes what seems like surrender isn't surrender at all. It's about what's going on in our hearts. About seeing clearly the way life is and accepting it and being true to it, whatever the pain, because the pain of not being true to it is far, far greater." —Nicholas Evans
